i’ve got 3 of theses insstalled at my home so let me tell ya that Tata Sky Rocks, it has excellent picture quality, superb audio quality, channels change fast and quick, have all the variety of channels a person requires, Active Features are good and easy to use, installation done quickly and very professionaly, faced no problem to date its been 10 days since installation.
But remember audio is good if the respective feed is good, simlarly video is good if the feed is good, but the video quality of some regional channels (i don’t watch) is somewhat poor (Who cares till STAR Movies, HBO rock).
All in all a good buy paticularly if you are in CAS notified areas of Delhi.
So go ahead and give your wallet a breather, let it shed its weight.

My experience with Tata Sky rocks too! If we're talking about the stone variety. The helpdesk is like a rock. The guy will read something off a screen and mouth it in impeccable (sis) English. But you know he is not even listening to you.
And guess what? You have to dial a Chandigarh number from Delhi, conveniently STD and wait for the IVR to put you through to a human, if at all. What's the nexus between the phone companies and Tata? you tell me. I would never recommend Tata Sky, especially if you're trying to redeem 'rewards' from ICICI Bank Credit cards. It's less a reward and more like a punishment ... believe me. Mera Bharat Mahaan and sure it's going to be a superpower if we're at the mercy of these mercenaries!!! :-)
