My own experience with TataSky

My own experience with TataSky is that they will fleece you if the cable between the Dish Antenna and the Digicomp box is broken. They have charged me Rs 300 for a cut in the cable, found 10 floors above my flat.

My experience with Tata Sky has also been very bad. I purchased Tata Sky set in Oct 2006 from a dealer in Noida. My Subscriber ID is 1000116089. Installation took place after many reminders. After 2 months, Remote Controller of the Set Top box stopped functioning. I registered complaint with Tata Sky Call Centre on 8th January, 2007 vide Complaint No. 1-20491789. I was told that within 24 hours an executive will give me a call and attend the problem. However, till date (26th January, 2007) nobody from Tata Sky has cared to call and replace the faulty remote. Since 8th Jan, 07 I have called them atleast a dozen times, and beleive me, every time you call their so called tall free no. ( 19014256633) & other STD No. (0172-66006633) they put you through a harrowing experience. Every time they made me hold up the line for at least 15 minutes. At the end, they would give the same hollow assurance that a new remote would be sent next day and till today it has not come. I feel harassed & cheated by Tata Sky. I have not been able to watch TV for the last 20 days. My old cable guy was far far better in rendering the service. My request to Tata Sky is to refund me the complete money and compensate me for the harrowing and sad experience that they have put me through. My advice to other citizens, who want to take a DTH connection, is not to beleive Tata Sky and stay away from it.
