As we compair to ZEE Dish TV & TATA SKY, my friend TATA SKY is newly launched. So give them some period to improve their service. Now they are showing the Air Channels also. As they are newly entered into the Market, lets go them setp by step. Just watch for few months or for next 1.5 years & then compair to both the DISH. We know well @ the mobile marketing. Now a days who is leader, Nokia, Samsung, LG, TATA Indicom etc. & who is the leader in service provider Airtel, Idea, Relaince, BSNL, Hutch etc. Why we people not compair to them? Because when the leading compines improved & issues more & more service it is difficult to compair between them. So wait for few days & whacth the services they are provide to us.

dishtv is offering more numers of channels upto 171 for same cost…..provide better active services …..better and more options in movie on demand. they have hollywood movie offer also in Movie on demand and that too a much lesser cost than other…..also there customer care services have improved alot.

I agree with Sunil. Dish TV has no standing as compared to Tata Sky and we all know the reputation of Zee group compared to the Tata group, so I rather not comment on that front. Zee has in fact no choice but to keep increasing its channels and that too complete nonsensical channels because after 3 years in the market and that too being the only DTH service provider for the first 2 years, it has got 18 lakh subscribers whereas in 11 months TS has got 10 lakh subscribers. Tata Sky rocks, it is for sure going to kick Dish TV out of this market.

For those who do not know, Tata Sky now has the distinction of achieving 1 million subscribers in just 11 months, the fastest ever by any DTH platform in the world. Just by adding channles, the subscriber base will not increase for Dish TV, they have a horrible reception as well as most of the channels they show are unwatchable or channels which customers are not even interested in. Dish TV 2/10; Tata Sky 11/10 - That is what the difference is.

Dish TV box is having lots of problem.

Dish TV box is having lots of problem. It keeps on freezing when you change channels. Another problem is you can’t sort channels within favorites. Freezing to a certain extent can be solve if you remove duplicate frequencies from the list and retune so that duplicate channels are removed.

Dish TV totally rocks!!! You get a no. of channels that Tata Sky doesnt offer. Their customer service has improved a great deal. I have had a connection for nearly 2 years now… and I havent faced a problem.

TATASKY is absolute cheating.

TATASKY is absolute cheating. They sold initially their sets for 200 Rs/monthly rental single package and now made the packages which are not at all user friendly and costly.
Say starter package 160 Rs all DD/other cahnnels who will undersatnd all tehse alnguages except them..At least they should see DISH tv package options to select tehir packages

We purchased the connection in January 2007. Our services were resumed in the month of February 2007. Initially we were very much excited having your connection. But soon our enthusiasm died away. Since the March the dish started giving problems. The programs relayed by Tata Sky Dish TV were hazy and unclear and the sound was bad and irritating, particularly when we connected CD / DVD player. All of a sudden the programs will disappear with a torturing sound.. We inquired in our locality and found out that every Tata Sky Dish TV owner faced this problem.

Upon complaining on your call centre they said they do have a technical problem in our Four Bungalow area which will be resolved soon During this period many mails were sent to Tata Sky Dish TV Bangalore office, but no one responded. . It took almost 60 days for the problems to resolve. Things were OK for about 15 days and the problem started again.

Again the same exercise was repeated and again no response was received. Every time we made a call to your call center a very polite assurance came that the service engineer is on his way. But nobody came and resolved the problem. Finally after many calls the service engineer came and detected some problem and promised to set it right within 2 days which never happened. He fixed the Digicomp adopter in such a way that our TV was damaged and we got our TV repaired by spending Rs 4,800/-.

Even as on today, our Dish TV system does not work and our torture is on. Nobody responds to our complaints. Since the day of purchase our system did not function regularly even for a period of 15 days. It is a torture and not an entertainment.

I am putting this note for general viewer so that they are saved of the torture of facing non existent Tata Sky Dish TV service.
