Hi everyone,I’d like to know when Tata sky will launch the zee , sony and other channels.I heard there’s some difficulty getting transponders.At the moment,Dishtv does look way better but I dont want to take it cos of all the public criticism.Any reply wld be helpful.

I want to share my experience of Zee’s DTH service with this forum.
One fine morning , ZEE DTH stopped my connection. On enquiry they told that they suspected me to be a cable operator ((I am sure that their techis are least skilled. Even a tiny tot would not categorise a simple home connection as cable network. BTW I am rich enough to own only a single TV set.)).
I was using this connection in India but recently shifted to Gulf (and intend to take it back to India again in future). I contacted their Noida office asking about the issue. Instead of seeking apology for their wrong action they started telling me that the service is not meant for outside India. One of the arrogant fellow started a sermon on “duties of the customer.” When reminded of the promises made by their dealer, their curt reply was “go back to the dealer why are you talking to us”
I donot know how thousands of their connections are openly viewed in many countries. It is amusing that Zee DTH knows about “customer’s duties” but none of the service provider’s. My prophesy (and curse) is that they are doomed. Give a warm welcome to Tata sky and Reliance with open arms, dear Indians!!

Zee’s DTH is not only sub standard

Zee’s DTH is not only sub standard but sub-human as well. Their executives are arrogant brats who bark on you (if you are able to contatct them.)
Number of cases seen where the dealer sells the boxes with tall promises and Zee DTH H.O. disbales the box. Ask them some inconvenient questions and they will ask back - “did we sell the box to you, go back to the dealer who sold it to you”

I the undersigned purchased a dishtv zenega CD1004S(VC NO:01501137239)SETTOP BOX and dishtv connection from M/S DTH COMMUNICATIONS STAR COMPLEX, COURT ROAD, THALIPARAMBA,KANNUR, KERALA.ON 11/05/06.Unfortunately the service provider upgraded my reciever software without any notice.Today sixth sep:06,i have contacted bye over phone their distributor.however they refused to register my complaint regarding the same.
It is also inform you that the service provider illegally disconnected againest the user manual page no 10,12,13,14,18,37,38 issued by them.in their advertisement shows the product is BIS quality but i could’t believe the product is a BIS quality. in these circumstances i may humbly request you to please take necessary action againest DISHTV,ASC ENTERPRISES,ESSEL HOUSE,DELHI 110035 (PH:01202445665,FAX 01202511181)to reinstate my digital reciever at the earliest.

Hardware cost should come down at least by 50% and there should be package with selective channels so customer will select and which should be cost effective, rest is ok

Even tata Sky dealership sucks..they were pathetic when they launched Tata Indicom their CDMA service .. they are worse now that they have their blitzkreig of DTH Tata Sky.Their right hand does not know what their left hand is doing.
