Can I able to recieve the GOD TV Channel through your Sky DTH ?

although if they can increase monthly rental upto Rs. 250/- is affordable. Due to high installation cost people will think about this while going into this scheme.
People fear after few months they may hike the monthly cost incredibly.

1. I have TV BOX TV tuner Card to connect with my PC.
Can it Connected ?
2. List of Free Channels.
3. What is meant by Free Channels ?
does it mean that if i am unable to recharge my connection, enven then these channels will not be stopped?
4. If i fail to recharge my connection which channels i can watch on my TV through tata sky ?
or it will totally stopped ?

i am a resident of Rohini, Delhi. my cable connection is provided by M/s sam world vision (tele.27947503). the monthly charges are Rs. 350/-. for the month of october also he charged the same amount. whereas it is understood that CAS is being introduced in delhi from 1.1.07, and as per TRAI press release the cable operators should reduce the charges to Rs. 200/- or so from 1.10.06. since the cable operator has not reduced the charges please advise me on the further course of action.

TATA has leased INSAT4A

Hi Vivek!
The best way to find out that would be to check the website of the individual satellites from which you can get signals. In this case TATA has leased INSAT4A. You can go http://www.lyngsat.com/in4a.html to find out the list of the channels.
If you want to get some foreign channels ,say from The middle-east,then you need to have a dish ith which it is possible to get signals from other satellites as well like Hotbird from europe.However, you can randomly try with INSAT 4A but it would be a cumbersome process.

I got my Tata Sky installed today

I got my Tata Sky installed today, i called them today and they delivered it and installed it within 4 hours of my call. I am mighty impressed. They laid the cable professionally. The picture quality just plain rocks. My cable operator sucked big time.
I was told by the installation guy that there is an option where i can add free to air channels myself if i know the frequency and other details.
Can you guys tell me what other international channels be added freely which otherwise is restricted by TRAI or for whatever reason?

Its something which TATA has launched in parallel to Sky Italia (Italy) ,BSkyB(UK) and Foxtel here in Australia,all run and owned by NewsCorp .
I have been using this technology for almost a year now and this is the ultimate in Pay TV. Service is excellent and no need to have a cable -operator.In m opinion TATA Sky should have some better ideas of billing rather than through Recharge Cards like direct debit.
The most interesting gadget that you gat is the Remote-Control …The fight doesn’t get any tougher than this!!!!

Hello all, nice to see more getting into knowing about the DTH platform in India. But as usual the coustemers are taken for a ride by being forced to get a new dish and a set top reciever from each and every service provider, every time you want to switch over. Dont you guys feel this ridiculous? For an example, take my case, I bought a dish and a Universal digital reciever and got it installed to view the DD direct+ FTAs. My reciever has 2 CI slots and a CAM module to facilitate me to go in for another service without opting for an additional hardware. But, the service providers are not ready to just enroll you a subscriber and provide you the module and the Smartcard required. Will the TRAI come out with certain revision and clarification with the service providers? Let us all join as one and raise this issue and enable each and every Indian to taste the fruit.
