1. My experience with Tata Sky is pathetic to say the least. Purchased the Hardware through their Dealer on 6 Jan 2006 with a promise of Installation on 7 Jan 2007.
2. Not installed as yet despite daily assurances by them. Have been stuck to my House waiting for them Now they say that the Installation will be done in 10 Days. I repeat - Installation in 10 Days.
3. If they will take 10 days for Installation - they naturally do not have their Infrastructure in place- Most unbecoming of a Tata Group Company. Also, they must rein in their Dealers not to give wrong info to Customers. Definitely not a TATA Group Coy.
4. Try their Call Centre Line. It is not a Toll Free Number even though the Number so suggests. They put you on Hold for 10 Minutes thereby sharing Revenue with their own Tele Coy from their Customers. Some Rip-off. North Indians are expected to Call a Chandigarh Number for Call Centre on STD. Be prepared to be on Hold so that the Ailing Tata Tele earns some revenue. Shame, Absolute Shame. Then they talk of Customer Loyalty.
5. Have advertised Delhi Nos today as Help Lines. They are the Corporate Office Nos. No body is even ready to talk to you about you about your problem. Yahi to - Call Centre hain na. Even Greater Shame.
6. You can imagine in case you have a Complaint in future about the Reception- 10 Days for Installation - 20 Days to attend a Complaint. Infrastructure definitely not in place. It will perhaps go Downhill the same way as Tata Teleservices. Our Desi Coys will perhaps do better.
7. Go to their Site to lodge a Complaint. – Do it only 60 Words – it says. Name, Address, Tele Nos, Complaint- All in 60 Words. They got to learn a Great Deal about Customer Support. They are just not Customer Friendly.
Just do your Homework please before ordering Tata Sky. I just can't believe that it is a Tata Coy. Sandeep. 98101-52719
